House and Behavioral Rules Preston Palace

Preston Palace must remain pleasant, liveable and safe for everyone. That is why Preston Palace has house rules and rules of conduct for guests. These rules have been drawn up in consultation with the Twente Police, the municipality and the Public Prosecution Service.

1. SIGN UP

You must report to the doorman or reception desk at the start of your package.

2. ACCESS CONTROL

To protect your own and others' safety, we may require you to cooperate with a search or detection.

3. CLOTHING

Preston Palace imposes requirements on your attire; if you do not comply with the requirements, you may be denied access (e.g. sports jerseys/shirts and fancy dress are not permitted).

4. CAMERAS

If you visit a hospitality establishment where video cameras are present, you agree to recordings being made. After disturbances or accidents, recordings may be shown to third parties.

5. SMOKE

In connection with the Supreme Court ruling, dated September 27, 2019, Preston Palace is required to modify its smoking policy. Smoking is only allowed outside in the designated areas, cq various outdoor terraces.

Preston Palace is completely smoke-free. Smoking is permitted on the terraces outside at the designated locations. It is not permitted to use a supersmoker (or similar substitute for cigarettes) inside Preston Palace except in designated (outdoor) smoking areas. Smoking in a hotel room will result in a €100.00 fine. Disabling or activating the fire alarm due to smoking (in the hotel room) will result in automatic expulsion.

6. SEXUAL HARASSMENT, RACISM AND DISCRIMINATION

You must not make yourself guilty of sexual harassment, racism and discrimination.

7. NARCOTIC AND HALLUCINATION-INDUCING DRUGS

You may not use soft drugs or hard drugs. You may not even carry them with you, bring them onto the premises and/or into the buildings. Staff members may ask you to cooperate with a search.

8. WEAPONS

You may not carry weapons, bring them onto the grounds and/or into the buildings.

9. NUISANCE, OFFENSIVE AND AGGRESSIVE BEHAVIOR

Anyone who behaves in a nuisance or offensive manner inside or outside the catering establishment will be subject to a penalty. Threats, assaults and other forms of aggression are prohibited.

10. CONSUMPTIONS

The consumption of beverages is only permitted within the premises, excluding the dance floors. It is not allowed to bring your own beverages in or take them outside. Alcoholic drinks will only be served from 11:00 onwards. If we deem that you have consumed too much alcohol, the serving of alcoholic beverages may be refused. Double shots will not be served. No alcohol will be provided to persons under 18 years of age.

11. TOILET USE

Toilet rooms are for individual toilet use only. Accommodation for other reasons is not permitted.

12. TRADE IN GOODS

It is prohibited to trade goods in or around Preston Palace.

13. HOSPITALITY PROPERTIES

You are not allowed to take Preston Palace property outside. Anyone causing damage is liable for the cost of repair or renewal.

14. LOSS, DAMAGE, INJURY

Preston Palace is not liable for loss of and/or damage to guests' belongings unless these have been deposited for payment. Preston Palace will not be liable for loss of items found in clothing, for example, (even if deposited for payment). Nor is Preston Palace liable for injury to persons.

15. LOST AND FOUND

If you find an object in Preston Palace that clearly belongs to someone else, you should hand it in to the reception desk. Found objects will be kept for two months. Anyone retrieving a found object must be able to produce identification.

16. COMPLAINTS

If you have any complaints, of any kind, please report them immediately to the front desk.

17. VIOLATION OF HOUSE AND CONDUCT RULES

If you violate the rules of conduct, you may be subject to a sanction, such as expulsion or disqualification in hospitality venues.

18. DEPARTURE

We kindly request that when you leave Preston Palace you show consideration for our neighbors and do not cause any noise pollution.

19. YOUTH GROUPS

Young people in groups under the age of 18 are not admitted to Preston Palace.

20. DISTRESS OR INCONVENIENCE

In case of emergency, please call TELEPHONE 333 at all times! In the event of a nuisance, please call TELEPHONE 9.

21. SAFETY FEATURES

Disabling and/or misuse of safety devices will automatically result in removal.

22. DECISIONS OF STAFF ARE BINDING

The following points are intended for hotel guests:

23. NIGHT REST

In the hotel, the corridors and rooms should be quiet from 22:00. You are not allowed to go into the corridors after closing time. You are requested to go to your own room. If you leave "Preston Palace" after closing time it is not possible to re-enter "Preston Palace" before 07.30 in connection with the sleep of (and possible noise nuisance for) other hotel guests.

24. ROOM CONTROL

You must check your room immediately after check-in for any damage and report it immediately to the front desk. After check-in, you are responsible for the room and any damage. In case of excessive dirtiness in the hotel room, additional cleaning fees may be charged.

25. REGRETTED HOTEL ROOM BY PRESTON PALACE STAFF

Preston Palace reserves the right to enter a hotel room if Preston Palace deems such action necessary. This may be the case, for example, in the event of (suspected) violation of the house rules.
